Christmas down in Lehi!

After we opened our gifts, we drove down to Lehi to see my family for Christmas! It was tons of fun to see the little kids open up gifts, especially Jordan who was old enough to get the gift idea this year! We love being with family & getting to hang out. We love it so much that we ended up staying the night unplanned lol! Just kidding, the snow made the roads and traffic horrible so we decided to stay the night and wait till morning. The next morning we went to visit with my dad for Christmas with him. A fun packed couple of days! Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas morning!

Christmas morning was incredible! We both felt better after the stomach flu and we woke up early like little kids and went to open gifts! It was so fun surprising each other with stockings! Then we opened up gifts. Then Nate gave me my surprise presents (new slippers, hot coco frother, and a radio/phone connector) and then I surprised Nate with a drill! Best surprise ever, watching Nate's face was priceless!

Pre-Christmas festivities

This weekend we went down to hang out with my family since my mom came into town for the Christmas season! Such a fun weekend! The kiddos wrestled with Uncle Nate & I got to play dress up with Brooklyn!  Oh and we also spread the stomach virus around which caused everyone to puke! Not so fun! But the good times outweigh the bad for sure!

Brooklyn's Christmas Program & lunch date!

We went down to watch Brooklyn at her Christmas program for school. She is such a cutie! She had all the songs & actions memorized! So proud of her! It was fun getting to see family too! Jordan and Tanzii are super cute interacting together! Then after the program, Nate and I got to escape for a bit and go enjoy our annual Christmas tradition of Settebello's pizza and Gelato ice cream! So tasty!

Finals celebration

With finals officially over and grades up we decided to go out and celebrate a little! Chili's and cold stone for us, both of our favorites! So fun getting to have a date night with my hubby!

Work schedules make out Christmas celebrations spread over weeks haha! Tonight we celebrated with Lena and Breanna! Had fun watching the Grinch and we read the scripture story! Then off to Christmas gifts! It was such a fun evening! Then Sunday night we went down to Salt Lake to see the Temple lights! Such a beautiful sight!

Finals are over!

Today marks the day that I get to see my husband in daylight! Finals are over and I couldn't be more excited! So happy to see my husband more than one hour a day! Hope all enjoy their holiday break!

One pot wonder!

Tonight I decided to try out a "one pot wonder" and it turned out delicious! The only negative thing is that you have to stand near the dish at all times so that the milk doesn't boil over.....but the end result was so worth it! Give it a try! Enjoy!

Amazing news!

Today was an amazing day! I got the BIG letter from BATC! Got accepted into nursing school! Christmas came early this year for me! So excited for February to come!

Hamburger sliders

Ok we admit this is not the most healthy of meals but Nate loves burgers so we try to experiment with different types occasionally. We had some leftover rolls from Thanksgiving (Kneaders ones are MY favorite! ) and we love to make little hamburger sliders out of them. Tonight we took hamburger patties and cut them up into halves and laid them on the buns but we decided to try out making Big Macs like McDonald's!  So we cut the rolls into thirds and laid patties in between as well as some of nate's big mac sauce! They turned out great! Go ahead and give them a try! Enjoy!

Crockpot mac & cheese

Tonight we made one of my easy go to crock pot meals- homemade mac & cheese. We are still trying to perfect it because it turns out super cheesy and so next time around we will probably experiment a little ;) But this is another great crock pot meal for you busy folks! Enjoy!
